GURU was created with a view of identifying a design and a shape uncharacterized by time and by different settings. This suspension lamp offers two point of views: a static one and a more dynamic one, and their combination produces a subtle dialectic. In the definition process, the most challenging aspect was the identification of an equilibrium between the object's staticness and dynamicity, a peculiarity that renders its essential design explicit but at the same time mutational. The lamp is made out of only two elements, of different shape and material, without any visible assemblage: the upper frame in moulded polyurethane and the lower diffuser in thermoformed opal Plexiglas.
